We are pleased to announce that Memorial Health Clinic in Aurora and Memorial Health Clinic in Clay Center have successfully completed their Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) Rural Health Clinic certification surveys with no deficiencies cited.
The achievement reflects both clinics’ commitment to meeting rigorous federal and state standards designed to ensure safe, high-quality healthcare in rural communities.
Rural Health Clinic (RHC) certification is a designation established by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to improve access to primary healthcare services in rural and underserved areas. To maintain certification, clinics undergo periodic surveys that evaluate compliance with detailed requirements related to patient care, staff qualifications, clinical operations, quality improvement initiatives, safety standards, and regulatory compliance.
A deficiency-free survey means surveyors found the clinics to be in full compliance with all applicable standards and regulations.
“This accomplishment is a direct reflection of the commitment our providers and staff demonstrate every day,” said Brandi Nigro, Memorial Health Clinic Manager. “A deficiency-free survey doesn’t happen by chance. It is the result of countless hours spent ensuring our processes, documentation, and patient care practices meet the highest standards. I am incredibly proud of our team and the dedication they bring to serving our communities.”
For patients and families, the successful survey reinforces that Memorial Health Clinic remains committed to providing safe, accessible, and high-quality care close to home. For clinic staff, it reflects an ongoing dedication to teamwork, excellence, and continuous improvement in every aspect of patient care.
“While the survey validates the work we do, our focus remains where it always has been — on providing exceptional care to every patient who walks through our doors,” said Nigro. “This recognition reflects our commitment to keeping healthcare local, accessible, and centered on the needs of the people and families we serve.”
