Specializing in Emergency/Acute Care
Why did you choose Emergency/Acute Care?
I chose acute/emergency care because the fast-paced nature of emergencies provides something different each shift. Pair that with rural healthcare, and I get to care for and comfort people on their most stressful days, as well as provide education, support, and share resources.
What do you enjoy most about being a provider and working at MCHI?
I chose MCHI because I really love rural healthcare. I grew up in rural Montana and love the sense of family that rural communities have.
What can a patient expect during a visit with you?
Honesty and transparency are important things for me to give my patients. I want my patients to feel safe in seeking care at MCHI, and I look forward to providing genuine and unbiased care for them.
What’s one thing you want people to remember most about taking care of their health?
I believe that healthcare is a team sport, and patients are kind of like the coaches. We as healthcare professionals can offer recommendations, solutions, and great ideas, but if our patients don’t participate, no one is winning. I want my patients to be active participants in their healthcare. That is where they will see the biggest benefit for their longevity and quality of life.
What are your favorite things to do in your free time?
I enjoy camping, sewing, gardening (I have an awesome greenhouse), and hanging out with my various critters.
