August 8, 2024

MCHI is pleased to announce that Jordan Stithem, ATC, has joined the organization and will serve as the primary athletic trainer for Aurora Public Schools.

Jordan Stithem, ATC, Memorial Rehabilitation-AuroraMemorial Community Health, Inc. (MCHI) is pleased to announce that Jordan Stithem, ATC, has joined the organization. In his new role, Jordan will serve as the primary athletic trainer for Aurora Public Schools.

“We are excited to welcome Jordan back to Aurora,” commented Brad Bangs, director of rehabilitation for Memorial Hospital. “He has a wealth of experience and will be a great resource in providing skilled athletic training care for our students and coaching staffs in Aurora.”

Jordan received his Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training with a minor in Kinesiology from Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kansas. He then earned a Master’s degree in Physical Education from the University of Nebraska at Kearney. Jordan holds the credential of Athletic Trainer Certified (ATC) through the Board of Certification for the Athletic Trainer credentialing organization.

Jordan comes to MCHI with over 13 years of experience. During his time at the University of Nebraska at Kearney, Jordan was the graduate assistant athletic trainer for the UNK football, track, and baseball programs. Following UNK, he served for seven years as the primary athletic trainer for Aurora Public Schools as well as the outreach athletic trainer for several other area schools. Mostly recently, Jordan worked for Columbus Community Hospital for three years, primarily serving as the athletic trainer for Shelby-Rising City Public Schools.

Jordan is an active member of the Nebraska State Athletic Trainers Association and serves on the Secondary Schools Committee, providing coverage for multiple NSAA state events.

“I am thrilled to join Memorial Community Health and return to Aurora,” said Stithem. “My family and I are excited to be a part of this wonderful community, and I look forward to working with the students, coaches, physical therapists, and physicians for the prevention, treatment and recovery of athletic injuries.”

Jordan, his wife Megan, and their three children—Kase (12), Jax (8), and Mia (6)—along with their dog Margo, recently moved to Aurora. In his free time, Jordan enjoys outdoor activities, coaching youth sports, and spending time with his family.
