Memorial Hospital’s highly trained laboratory staff provides a large number of laboratory services designed to meet the needs of inpatients, outpatients and the medical personnel who order lab work to be completed.
In addition to their daily laboratory services, Memorial Hospital’s laboratory staff also participates in the annual Memorial Hospital Health Fair held in conjunction with the Hamilton County Home, Garden and Outdoor Expo. Trained staff conduct blood draws in the weeks just prior to the fair and makes the results available to participants at the fair. The panel of tests performed includes a Complete Metabolic Profile, Lipid studies, TSH and Hemogram. This battery of tests assesses many physiologic processes including electrolyte balance, liver and kidney function, blood sugar for diabetes, thyroid function, cholesterol for heart disease, and hemoglobin concentration for possible anemia. Men also have the option of ordering a PSA to check for possible prostate cancer.
With all laboratory testing, you are encouraged to consult your physician with any questions you have about specific tests or with the results from lab tests already performed.
