East Park Villa, a division of Memorial Community Health, has achieved a deficiency-free survey from the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). The DHHS survey process evaluates how well a facility performs in both quality and regulatory compliance.
“It is very difficult and a huge accomplishment to obtain a deficiency-free survey,” said Laurie Andrews, Administrator of East Park Villa. “Assisted living facilities are under increasing scrutiny with each passing year, and we continue to strive to meet or exceed the highest levels of quality care and services for seniors.”
DHHS surveyors arrive unannounced to interview staff, observe care and daily procedures, and verify adherence to regulations related to care, confidentiality, cleanliness, residents’ rights, and overall quality of services. The review also includes direct resident interviews.
According to DHHS, in Nebraska, the average number of deficiencies cited per facility is ten. “A deficiency-free survey is impressive for any assisted living facility to accomplish and is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our East Park Villa team,” states Justin Wolf, CEO of Memorial Community Health. “Our East Park Villa staff are passionate about caring for and serving residents, and their efforts are to be commended.”
When speaking of East Park Villa’s deficiency-free survey, Laris Mulroney, the DHHS Long-Term Care Facilities program manager, maintains, “The results of the compliance inspection are commendable, and we applaud your efforts to maintain compliance with the Assisted-Living Facility regulations.”
East Park Villa is a senior living facility for individuals who are 55+ years of age. A division of Memorial Community Health, East Park Villa is located in Aurora, Nebraska. For more information, call 402-694-2300 or visit www.eastparkvilla.org.
