Published on November 15, 2023

Sean Flor, MD, Memorial Health Clinic, Aurora NEMemorial Community Health, Inc. (MCHI) in Aurora, Nebraska is pleased to announce the addition of Sean Flor, M.D., to the team of family medicine professionals at Memorial Health Clinic.  Dr. Flor will be starting on January 15th, 2024.

Dr. Flor received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1998, a Post-Baccalaureate Pre-Medical Certificate from American University in Washington, D.C. in 2013, and Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha in 2019. Prior to medical school, Dr. Flor had an extensive and distinguished career in the United States Air Force, most recently having served as an Instructor Weapon Systems Officer in the 37th Bomb Squadron at Ellsworth Air Force Base in South Dakota, where he flew the B-1B bomber from 2007-2011, including three combat tours to Southwest Asia.

After completing his residency at Lincoln Family Medicine Residency Program, Dr. Flor has been a family medicine physician at Jefferson Community Health & Life in Fairbury, NE for the past year and a half. He is Board Certified in Family Medicine, and will play a role in increasing the availability of appointments for primary care within the clinic setting.

"I am excited to be joining MCHI and look forward to getting to know Aurora and the surrounding communities," commented Dr. Flor. "It is a vibrant and flourishing area which will be fun to explore and we are eager to become a part of the community." When talking about his medical career, Dr. Flor added, "I love family medicine because I enjoy interacting with the entire age spectrum and bringing an upbeat, positive approach to building the doctor-patient relationship with every person I meet in the exam room or hospital setting. I also thrive on the variety and wide scope of this discipline and love that for a part of the day, I might be seeing clinic patients, and, in the same day I might be making nursing home rounds, seeing hospital patients, or doing procedures."

Originally from Omaha, Dr. Flor is currently house-hunting in the Aurora area and will be moving in early January. When not working, he enjoys spending time and traveling with his significant other Jess, running, playing golf, outdoor activities, and spending time with family and friends. He is also a big sports fan in general, particularly of Husker athletics and Marquette University basketball.
