Memorial Hospital Receives Deficiency-Free Survey from Nebraska DHHS

Published on September 20, 2023

Memorial Community Health is pleased to announce that Memorial Hospital has received a deficiency-free status as a result of a Critical Access Hospital (CAH) survey conducted last month by the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS).

The CAH survey assesses compliance with Federal health, safety, and quality standards that assure patients receive safe, quality care and services, and is part of routine surveillance of healthcare facilities. Surveys are unannounced and conducted by surveyors who are onsite for approximately a week. During this time, surveyors take a comprehensive look at organizational performance, processes, and patient-focused functions through observation, interviews, and document and record reviews.

"We commend our staff on receiving a deficiency-free survey, which is the ultimate result a CAH hospital can hope to receive," commented Justin Wolf, CEO of Memorial Community Health. "This serves as a testament to our staff's on-going hard work and dedication to providing safe and high quality, compassionate care to our community."
